2014 Turkey Table #2: Flower Frenzy

Annnnnd we’re back with the second installment of the 2014 Thomas Turkey Tables. That is a lot of “T’s”. If you’re just now tuning in and you have no blessed idea what I’m talking about, well let’s recap. In honor of Thanksgiving, we’re celebrating with creating three unique table settings, using mostly things found around the house. One per week for the three weeks leading up to Turkey Day. Here was last week’s:

I’d like to think this is a twist of spring and fall, but maybe that’s just wishful thinking. Regardless, go with me on this… we get the spring from the blues in the glassware, the whites in the table cloth and dishware, and the flowers. BUT there’s some subtle autumn in the textured place mats, woven balls, leaf-like flower petal place cards, and oranges/reds/yellows in the flowers.

For this one, I was going for the “we’re assuming there will be warm drinks at this party because there are mugs” look. I just stuffed a napkin inside and placed the “place card” in front. For those, I pulled off a few of the Tiger Lily’s petals and wrote names on them with a Sharpie. Bam, living place cards.

2014 Turkey Table #2 Do those place mats and white dishes look familiar? They are definite repeats from Table Scape #1. Another fan favorite are those woven balls that made an appearance last time as well. It’s really cool to me that you can use the same basic elements, but create a bunch of different looks.
