Aloha… HAWAII!!!
As promised, today’s the big day for all things 2016 Vacation… or as we like to call it, Thomas Travels. 🙂
Last year we took you with us for all of the planning, prep, plus the play by play on what we did (you can read about Day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 by clicking those numbers). The whole process was so much fun that we’re bringing it back this year and this is the first step… telling you where we’re headed! Yesterday, I left you with some clues…

Did anyone one guess? We’re going to… HAWAII!!!!
WHY Hawaii?: Last year, my cousin and her fiance (he is in the coast guard) were located in Maui, Hawaii and we are off to pay them a visit! They have very generously offered to let us stay with them for the time we will be there and we’ll be doing a combination of hanging out with them and exploring some of their favorite haunts, but also do a little exploring on our own when they have to be at work.
WHERE & HOW: We’ll be flying into Kahului Airport in Maui. BUT, on the way, we’re making a special stop in… San Fransisco!!! More details on that to come. 🙂
WHEN: Last year, we did a springtime trip and it was ah.mazing. The timing is perfect for both of our schedules and we decided to go that route again. So this spring… we’re saying ‘goodbye’ to PA and ALOHA to Hawaii!
And as for those clues, the little blue guy? STITCH! My cousin’s fiance… they were assigned to a base in Hawaii, so we’re going to visit. Recent Pixar short? This one. Annnnndddd….. shout out to Jesse Frederick… he co-wrote and performed the theme song to Full House, which we’ll hopefully be seeing when we make a quick stop in San Fransisco!
