Psst… It’s FRIDAY! Which means it’s Challenge Day over on our YouTube channel! Head on over (here’s the link) and watch this week’s challenge. I’ll give you a hint: It involves speed and tissues. 🙂 Oh, and make sure you watch to the very end because we include bloopers on the tail of each video we post!
Today’s post is seemingly small, but makes a HUGE difference in our every day lives. Blinds. And I’ll be honest with you, talking about blinds can seem a little bit boring, but here on the blog we show you even the small updates that happen in our house. After all, this is real life and that’s what you signed up for. At least, I hope so. 🙂
In both bedrooms, our windows were blind-less. Unlike the downstairs window in the family room…
… these windows were as bare as a new born baby.
And seeing as how the front window looks right out at the parking lot, it’s not that difficult to see what’s happening in everyone’s houses when they don’t have their blinds down. Or don’t have blinds at all. 🙂 The back bedroom faces the backyard, but again, it is extremely easy to see inside everyone’s back rooms from the common area below. And thus, it was time for blinds.
We went for some inexpensive, clean-lined, standard white blinds and had them cut to size at Lowes. The installations were pretty easy (we just used the manual that came with them), and the end result was as expected, but oh-so worth it!
Ahhh… privacy and protection from early sun rises! I love that in the Spare, the blinds just kind of blend in now that everything is painted white. Now, I’ve got some incentive to get a curtain or roman shade of some sort in place to bring in a bit of color!
Someday. 🙂
Happy weekend, everyone! And don’t forget to go check us out (and SUBSCRIBE!) on YouTube!
