The Pumpkin Progression Continues….

Remember our pumpkin-y adventures of yore?No-Carve PumpkinsWe were embracing the renew, reuse, recycle mindset by using the same pumpkins over and over again, but with different looks. And, friends, I am happy to report that the Pumpkin Progression continues! After Halloween ended, I took those babies outside and gave them a new coat of color for a totally new look…Thanksgiving Mantel PumpkinsGOLD! From there, I revisited my old Sharpie habits and went to town penning “Give Thanks” onto my two pumpkins. For the “font”, I did some Googling until I found one I liked, traced it:Thanksgiving Mantel Pumpkins

Then just filled it in:Thanksgiving Mantel PumpkinsA few scraps of burlap, leaves, candles, and mini pine cones later and we have ourselves a Thanksgiving mantel- scape!Thanksgiving Mantel Pumpkins Thanksgiving Mantel PumpkinsMy favorite part of this are the tiny details- I just love the mini pumpkins and even mini-er (word or not?) pine cones. These candles from Bath and Body Works smell delightful and have gold stripes on the outside of the votive… how perfect! I actually bought them with the thought that it would be nice to reuse the glass votive holder in the future, even after the candle is gone. The leaves are recycled from this project. It’s fun to be able to use things again and again… I’m always a fan of not having to buy new!Thanksgiving Mantel PumpkinsOnly three days until Turkey Day! Stay tuned for more Thanksgiving-y things this week… including the LAST Turkey Table for the year!
