Until then, I have an update on the downstairs bathroom for you… we installed a new light!

Remember the look I was going for, back when I showed you the bathroom moodboard?

I really wanted something to hang, something that had an interesting look to it, something that really made the space shine. When Parrot Uncle, who we’ve partnered with before (you can read all about that here), asked me to do a little shopping and try out some of their goods, I couldn’t wait to see if we could find something to fit the bill. As it turns out, they had exactly what I was looking for!

I love this hanging glass globe with the oil rubbed bronze finish… it’s the perfect amount of unique and the perfect amount of classy. We chose the 7.87″ Vintage Industrial Pendant and it ended up being the perfect fit. They had larger options, but because the room is smaller, we went small and that was a good choice in the end. I was a little worried about the color of the glass because it looked gray-ish in the picture, but it arrived crystal clear and when lit, casts a really pretty glow on the walls and ceiling.

I just have to say it… Parrot Uncle was great to work with. The first light they sent arrived in a million tiny little pieces! Hey, shipping glass is no small feat. However, as soon as I told them, they immediately sent another in the mail- no questions asked. The product itself is a good quality product, something I was wondering about because their prices are so affordable! We had no problems installing it (thanks for the help, Dad!) and it turned out beautifully… not a single thing I’d change! I just love getting glimpses of it every time I walk past the door…
